Watch the first 10 minutes and the last 10 minutes and you'll have a good time. This dude just yells at a camera for the entire middle.

I almost bounced off this in the opening minutes but I'm glad I stuck with it because I ended up having a lot of fun. The main character is supposed to be an annoying, obnoxious influencer, and Joseph Winter is almost too good at playing up those off-putting characteristics. He grew on me though, and Deadstream ends up being a solid mix of comedy and horror that are both pretty effective at times

A sort of homage to Evil Dead in the era of live streaming. Had a few genuine laughs

A good mix of humour and horror. I did feel like it went on for 30 min longer than the runtime suggested; however. I enjoy a good meta horror comedy though. It's not actually scary, so don't go in thinking it will be. Some good jump scares but it's mostly just the obnoxious star screaming and being made fun of by his streaming audience w some well timed humour thrown in. For the low budget it has it was much better than it really had any right to be. 6.6

The only movie this year that can literally get me to close my eyes while laughing at the screen.

So fucking funny. It uses the same concept as Dashcam -- lousy character getting in all sorts of weird, scary situations with a vary of demonic monsters --, but still manages to have its own freaky voice.

Deadstream is one of my favorite horror movies of the past year. It's also one of the best found footage I've ever watched in my life. I absolutely loved how it looks like a sarcasm-filled mockumentary, how it makes you laugh as much as it frightens, and the spirit of Evil Dead and Braindead it carries. It was perfect.

It's impossible to tell whether Joseph Winter is trying to act in any of this or just be goofy all along hoping for laughs. His loud prima-donna spinelessness is neither convincing nor funny, just obnoxious.

Pretty successful in both horror and comedy. I'm not a fan of gopro/camcorder/found footage movies but this one works fine for me. Subjective frames are very creepy. Still, need to watch something else with professional camera work now.
