The second of Wiseman's four films dedicated to documenting the institutional schooling of those who are deaf, blind and multi-handicapped (which, as this film makes clear, is not to say that these individuals are defined by these handicaps). This is not a film about the 'special' measures needed to 'accommodate' deaf students, but rather a film about pedagogy. These students and teachers do what needs to be done in order to learn, with these pedagogies valuable for all who want to learn.
