I have no idea what was going on except a basic plot outline; to pay more attention to the intrigue seemed a waste of time since the details don't reward you. I suppose a better version has been done by other whodunit inheritance mansion films including Knives Out. Why are they hiding the bodies? Moorehead does the best she can to play a regal matriarch. Fav scene: the intro to Luddy talking to her dead mother which set the scene for a great killer but it's all downhill from there.

Occasionally gruesome, unconditionally sleazy horror whodunit. The dialogue sounds like the screenwriter went to divorce court and only wrote down the scummiest bits to use here. Agnes Moorehead gives the story way more class than it deserves.

I was in the mood for some Gothic suspense after enjoying "You'll like my mother", but this was a bit of a disappointment. It's a low budget film and it's evident that Farris was a first time director. The acting is quite campy or lacking and the film has difficulties deciding if it's a southern melodrama, comedy or horror. It's also very talky with sudden spurts of gore, especially near the ending. It does benefit a bit from locations but they could have been utilized more.
