Great race. HUGE race. Let me tell ya, folks, Americans have the best races, the best races. There are literally a million, a million and a half people in the stands, and they all bleed the red blood of patriots. Huge. Frankenstein is an overrated washup though, SAD!

Even though this movie is just alright, it still really speaks to me because I think the population is just out of control.

This movie was not "good". It was really entertaining though, so I have to give it over 50.

Surprisingly almost as good as the original cult film. A lot of funny one liners and some quality gore for a low budget film. Quite relevant for these modern times, sadly. Much like the original it could have been far more successful in the hands of a better director.

Quite shamelessly copies the original, but it works in a way. Acceptable remake.

Just a fun easy watch in which they more or less capture the feel of the original '75 movie. The effects are definite B movie style bad. The whole story is quite silly but fits the campy feel they are clearly going for. McDowell and Ramsey were in particular really good in their over the top roles.

Death Race 2000 was a cheesy action comedy with a core of social commentary; not super radical, but focused on satirizing the media's manipulativeness. 2050 doesn't have that focus, or that core; its ethos is "well we have to change *something*", paired with an unwillingness to say that the media or the people in power need to change more than anyone else. It has thoughtful moments and moments of focused satire-- but buried in a script that would prefer not to stick its neck *too* far out.

Scrub-tier attempt at self-aware camp - if this was done by Verhoeven it would be the best thing in the world
