Norway's first sound movie! One about illegitimate babies and the state church's attitude towards it.... with a folksy Norwegian twist. The church and their strict look on marriage is ridiculed and gets educated in the rules of costumer service, which amused me. I'm not going to claim The Big Christening is in anyway essential viewing, but I found it very pleasant in it's creaky old fashioned nature.
