Ernst Lubitsch in one of his earliest roles as an actor. And there is no denying he had a expression like few others! A Jewish style of comedy of money and scheming. This is the same year as Chaplin debuted, and while Lubitsch has a different expression you can see him still have some of the same mannerisms that made Chaplin great. This isn't so much a gag oriented comedy then an amusing story and it's cool to see the future master director playing to the audience like this.
