Desolation

Starts slowly like all post-millennial movies because millennials are basically cloned Boomers who move slowly, but once the plot clicks into place flows naturally for some good psychological terror. If you have ever been on four hits of LSD waiting for the gangstalkers with a tabasco enema in a dark alley, this might appeal. Lead actress is almost disengaged but it works, and the sense of paranoia is eclipsed by a massive futility which is very lifelike.

I found it interesting because of the what is it really happening? thing. I like those kinds of movies.

Dominik García-Lorido was interesting and engaging in the role. Overall the movie fails due to the outrageous and ludicrous plot. However, it does have a few good moments. The ending was particularly obnoxious. I should mention there are two movies from 2017 with this exact same title.
