Devil Times Five

This is almost uniformly terrible on every level, but at least there is an early appearance from the guy who played Boss Hogg in the Dukes of Hazzard and the appearance of somebody called Toby Wank in the credits. There is also a moment that must have inspired the Sideshow Bob rake scene, but with bear traps,. The score veers between Bitches Brew-era jazz, odd children's themes and muzak. The "nun" was apparently played by the director's allegedly underage alleged girlfriend. Brilliantly awful.

In the right hands, this could have been a decent film. The summary says "villagers" but what it meant was mob members. Leif Garrett plays a psychotic youth in this. Ummm...people die, the kids are crazy, yada yada. I like the other title "Peopletoys". Sounds more interesting than the entire movie.

A decent concept, but the effects are very cheap and the camera tricks (sloooow motion killings) wear thin very quickly.

Meh all around. I didn't care about what was happening and the characters are all blah and terrible. Skip this.
