Devil in the Dark

The Horror takes a lot to start but I like those kinds of Indie plots where people just talk. The Horror is somehow unexplained although the very end kind of creepy. The older brother kinda hot by the way.

Like a somewhat more focussed or possibly just finally less surreal 'YellowBrickRoad' (2010) with some slight influence of Kubrick circa 'The Shining' obvious in particuar shots.

it's not bad in any particular way, but somehow i wonder if at least dickson/brown got what they were going for exactly. it's probably best to stick to it as a metaphor, despite every indication that it might not be. at least it checks out best like that for me.
