Narasimha Mannadiyar (Mammootty), the ruler of the village of Kamakshipuram tries to avenge the death of his younger brother Veerasimha Mannadiyar (Jayaram). Veerasimhan's killer, a criminal don Haider Marakkar, is sentenced to death by the court, but Haider keeps escaping the gallows.
