Did You Wonder Who Fired the Gun?

Like self-congratulation, I find something off-putting about self-flagellation. Thankfully, the documentary spends most of its time exploring an affecting history, too often ignored mostly for the discomfort it can inspire among some folks. In many ways, it seems to be preaching to a very willing choir. A guided meditation on racism and a pre-protest booster injection for procrastinating radicals. But everyone, of course, can benefit from some self-reflection.

The kind of deep, though-provoking, self-reflexive examination I would like to do with my family sins. Precious documentary about the impossibility of solving a crime with almost no records -- all he's got is his words, some letters, abandoned places, a couple of family movies, photographs and a long road.

Probably the dullest documentary I've ever seen. The portentous narration is laughably bad.
