I like the car chase

A lesson in the need to keep your eyes on the road.

A couple of idiots in a souped up muscle car rob a supermarket and then spend the rest of the movie being pursued by cops. There's lots of fun car chase action with jumps and burnouts and powerslides everywhere, plus the novelty of Peter Fonda constantly spouting some of the most painfully dated lingo ever. Susan George is cute but her character is totally pointless and doesn't show her boobs, and the ending is a real eye-roller.

Not particularly great filmmaking, but a good enough excuse for some sweet car chase action. A few memorable lines of dialogue are sprinkled throughout as well. It's dumb fun.

I'm not a car guy in the slightest but liked the bickering between the characters. The absurd car chases and set ups. Nails it's aesthetic perfectly. Rest in peace Peter Fonda.

Fun action sequences but dreadful writing and characters. The ending just sort of happens and then the movie ends 3 seconds later. It feels like this whole thing was written while high

It's interesting in that it doesn't really care if we find characters sympathetic or not, it just charges right through anyway. It's also nice to see a car chase film that doesn't treat cars as indestructible bricks. But it never really rises to the level of entertaining, and it just fails to provide an ending that isn't completely stupid.

Didn't think much of it when I first saw it, but considering the absolute crap that has been made in the meantime that is actually taken seriously, it looks a lot better now!

A surprisingly enjoyable, borderline goofy ride through the lower echelons of American tomfoolery. Despite its now infamous deus ex machina of an ending and rather thin storyline, the film sizzles with a boisterous lunacy that's perfectly in keeping with its characters' wild and colorful personalities. More of this please.

One of the dumbest endings ever.

The characters are kind of grating, but there's still something endearing about the setup. I don't think it really works as well as it could, but it's interesting in its own way.

Mediocre movie, awesome ending!

There is not a lot of depth to this movie but it is entertaining. There are a lot of car chases in the film and some of them are really exciting. The ending is abrupt and I did not see it coming. Overall I would recommend this movie.
