I love the first 10 minutes of this movie, best 10 minutes I've spent in quite a while in front of a screen.

When I saw first Banlieue 13 movie I just loved the concept of mixing parkour and martial arts. Action was done well enough to ignore lack of decent plot or quality acting. So I expected same or better from the sequel. Sadly, this movie does not deliver. Story is very childish, and there's not nearly enough of action to balance that.

District B13 is the most convincing and gripping action flick since month. The first one was awesome, and i think this sequel deserves to be vowed. Ok the story isn't arthouse like and the end a bit cheesy but you get 90 minutes full of great action (the choreography is stunning). This is a feel good Movie that entertains very well. Compared to all those 250 Million Blockbusters of the last Month District B13: Ultimatum don't need to hide. David Belle rockz he's the coolest wall runner ever!!

Suffers from the same issues as the original, only magnified a few times. Definitely not enough crazy stuntwork this time, even though there are a few inspired moments. I was hoping for some stupid fun, but it's more stupid than fun. Aw.

Much like the first one, this movie is anchored by its awesome fight and parkour scenes. The story is much worse this time around though. Still a very fun movie.

It's a french movie. Why do french people are still trying to produce movies. Movie producing must be banished in France.

The action in this movie is good but the parkour scenes are just a couple. The first movie District B13 was really better in this aspect. There is not much story in either movie. You have to watch this to enjoy the action sequence.

Good. The free runner and the cop return for more adventures in the Paris district. The action is pretty decent with practically no CGI and very little wire-fu. Its a pretty mindless action flick and doesn't pretend to be anything else. Recommended.

Not as thrilling as the first with the stunning le parkour moves, yet i felt this movie had a better storyline until the third act. Cyril Raffaeilli indeed delivers with his excellent showmanship of martial arts moves.

Great stuff, kind of like when Jackie Chan made good movies. Except he's French.

Surprisingly good. Very stylish, some great parkour and martial arts. The version I saw was let down by a spectacularly bad english dub, but as action movies go it was pretty good fun.

The original Banlieue 13 was an instant classic of the action / martial-arts genre with its spectacular stunts and frenetic pace. The sequel is a pale shadow of that, a cocktail watered down to 1/10 of its anticipated concentration. Too much plot, too many average beatdowns, and no charisma. Then again, as weak sequels go, it's nowhere close to the stink-ups of Ong Bak 2, Die Hard 4 or Transformers 2.

The first District B13 didn't take itself too seriously, giving it the freedom to give some great action with little attention to plot. Unfortunately, this sequel decided to put forth too much of a very silly plot. Too many eye-rolling moments takes away from the often pretty good action.

Cyril Raffaelli is a french Jackie Chan. Props. Too much down time in the movie though.

Banlieue 13 was TOTALLY awesome when there was fighting and parkour and kind of lame when there wasn't. This one is the exact same except it feels like there's a lot more talking and a lot less of the good stuff. It's still worth seeing but it's certainly not as enjoyable as the first.

Tolerable as far as simple, braindead action movies go.

Heavier handed and sillier. Still great action pieces, but not as out of nowhere awesome as the first one. That should be a given, but Brett Ratner thinks Police Story 2 is better, so there are idiots.

They explain the -incredibly dumb- story in triplicate. Horrible stereotypes and goofy 'my enemies enemy...' morality encourage us to cheer for SS-tattooed skinheads in the fight against gentrification. By the end The Man's triumph is so complete the kid's don't understand. A couple of good scenes and a lot of good little stunts but yuck.[df]

At first this film "explodes off the screen:" it's a slick music video of an action movie that only pauses briefly to to setup its story. But then it makes several weird changes of focus, and the ending is just bizarre. I can't say the story was very appealing this time around, either. If you came for nothing but the fight scenes and parkour, though, you'll hardly be disappointed.

Anything but the turd I was expecting, a serviceable sequel that revels in its own ludicrousness with fleeting touches of humour. I guess speaking the language allowed me to pick up subtle comedic touches within the dialogue and the political subtext was a nice touch. Areels' review reads as though it's been written by Tommy Wiseau. Genius.

Not as good as the first but still a worthy sequal. Much of the same really except the story isn't as good. The fight scenes and the parkour were amazing, probably as good as the first, though it's been a while since I've seen the first. Much like Beverly Hills Cop 2; pretty much the same as it's predecessor but not as good. Enjoyable though.
