Dive Bomber

it's a quasi-nonfictional account of a flight surgeon who works preventing high g-force from causing pilots to go unconscious. if it sounds completely boring you'd probably be making a great supposition, but as usual flynn can make any movie good. i have no idea how he did it, but flynn is awesome. there's probably more credit to be given to curtiz for actually pumping in some great scenes here too.

Falls way short of Errol Flynn's other adventures. That when it's shot in stunning Technicolor, filled with spectacular aerial shots, a ton of high ranking actors, directed by one of the absolute greats and featuring the US Navy themselves! Regardless of being a beautifully film to look at, the plot and execution felt more like something out of a B-programmer at the Warner Bros studios. Noble in war times, but far from interesting to the general audience, really testing ones patience.
