Do I Sound Gay?

Great topic for a film. it. I enjoyed it. It would have been interesting to interview gay porn actors to see if they had to change their voices to get casted.

The short answer is: yes. (The long one is: yesssSSSSsss, you do.)

I expected more and for it to go deeper but it felt surface level but wel done.

So well done :') A topic that I don't hear about much, and it was really enlightening to hear so many different people speak on it. I thought this was quite sweet and by the end, it had really made my heart feel warm. They covered everything from speech exercises to where this idea of "sounding gay" even came from. Love it!

I sought this out after my doctor presumed I was gay (and consequently, obviously, a huge slut who needed a bunch of extra tests and vaccines) which kind of irked me. Sounding gay, as I do, has always bothered me (much like the main subject of this film), but for me mostly because I don't identify as gay and that's led to some annoying consequences. Anyway, this documentary is well made. It's both very funny and insightful. It may seem too specific and limited to be entertaining, but it's not.
