Townie Howser. One of them there book learners tries to set down roots with good decent regular folks and as a result there's more high jinks than a day of pig wrestling! Really all of the actors are likable. I'm too distinguished now to comment on the nudity or to even bring it up in my review. But now that it's mistakenly been brought up in my review, let's comment on it. It's wonderful!

An ambitious young man goes to a small town and learns true values, as a result giving up his career in Los Angeles. Presumably a large majority of the people involved in the making of this movie continued to live and work there.

About as inoffensive as a Downy-fresh load of your grandmother's knickers. About as by-the-numbers as the Count mwa-hah-hah-ing his way from one to ten. Not a lot to love here, but definitely not worthy of all the hate for two, 'well-rounded' reasons that become apparent fairly early in the film.

I remember that this movie had boobs in it. That's about all I remember about this movie.

A film absurdly predictable and silly, done to please you all the time. What saves a little, is the charisma of Michael J. Fox.

Would you believe me if I told you that the basic premise of this movie is actually pulled off a lot better (albeit minus the initial car crash/scene of tits and gender-swapped) in the CW TV series Hart of Dixie?

Not even David Ogden Stiers could save this terrible movie. And my favorite MASH character was Charles Emerson Winchester III.

The only thing I remember about this movie is that Marty McFly took a shit in the woods.

Klassisk "føj jeg hader alt og alle, jeg vil væk..." Charmerende og forudsigelig men med en let charme - jeg ikke kan modstå.

Notable only because I believe this is the last PG-13 movie to have a full, exposed pair of breasts on screen and in focus, before America lost its mind and went full-on "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!"

While is is cliched and overly sentimental Fox (like most of his roles) brings a likeable charm to it.

Not quite on par with Secret of My Success, but this was another of the quirky little romcoms that made us love Michael J. Fox even more than we thought possible after he went Back to the Future. I'd say this one ranks somewhere around For Love Or Money, but it doesn't have the benefit of the exquisite Gabrielle Anwar.

Saccharine, overly-sentimental crap. Still, Michael J. Fox brings his trademark befuddled charm, and manages to make his scenes watchable. The same cannot be said for the rest of this. And as if enough clichés had not already been piled on, there's even a baby-delivery scene (in a station wagon, no less) near the end--on the off chance you felt your heartstrings had been insufficiently tugged by that point.

The script is mostly predictable and not everything works in this movie. However the cast is really likeable and they all do a good job here. There are some funny moments and scenes. Overall I would recommend this comedy.

Wow, somehow I remember liking this movie a lot more than I did. Not that it was bad, I still give it 3ish out of 5 stars, but it was really more about the romance than the doctor part. Did I just tune that out when I was a kid?

Tepid, inoffensive sitcom stumbles through predictable pacing and beats, but its complete lack of "edge" renders it sleepy and dull (there’s a reason it features both “boobs” and profanity and still easily skates by a PG-13). Strange outlier in the usually more hard-hitting Caton-Jones’ filmography, and it beggars belief that such a strong supporting cast can’t even bring an accidental comic zap to their characters (though Hamilton’s cameo is hilarious, and *almost* worth sticking around for).
