Too self-consciously contrarian, but the beautiful McCabe and Mrs. Miller-ish sets and some absolutely terrific performances (especially Harris Yulin's chillingly banal Wyatt) make it worthwhile.

if you've seen "tombstone" prior to this, well, no man's doc holliday can beat val kilmer. even so, this is a mildly entertaining movie, the biggest draw here is dunaway, but that's just for eye candy.

A poor film. Does little to separate itself from the others in it's genre.

Better than many reviews would have you believe. No, it's not historically accurate; it'd have you believe there were 8 deaths at the OK Corral when in fact there were only 3. But the grittiness of this western cannot be overlooked. True to the era in which the film was made, you have an anti-hero in the lead, and nobody in the film can be cast as truly a "good guy" or "bad guy". If you liked such other classics of the time as Bonnie & Clyde or Butch Cassidy, this is worth your time to see.
