Varda’s lens gets LA the same way a dashcam gets a filmed traffic stop - neither side likes the idea, but begrudgingly agree it’s probably for the best. Like my own experience in LA, it marries this perfect balance of interconnectivity and disassociation, trying to find grounds for divorce. Hebrews 13:2 comes to mind; the most LA of biblical verses.
