Dofus - Livre 1: Julith

With no prior knowledge of the game or characters, Dofus manages to tell a good standalone adventure with cute animation that is somewhat reminiscent of anime from the 90's. The humour varies from childish to crass, but enough moments are amusing often enough that it works. Plot elements do seem familiar; Ecaflipus as a stand in for the spirit realm from Chinese stories; the finale Gobbowl sequence has an air of Space Jam to it. The film is still fairly entertaining with a few interesting ideas.
