To isolate one emotion (let alone the entire spectrum) and capture it so perfectly as if it were to be bottled for mass consumption is one hell of a feat. Don't Come Knocking manages to do that time and time again.

sam shepard was great, no doubt about that, but sadly the movie itself was really boring and just shot to be "nice"

Thoroughly amusing film riddled with weird, fun characters and great performances. It's a story of a man frustrated with his current situation, trying to find a purpose in life. The plot may not be the most original, but overall the movie manages to stand out.

Strange anda pointless movie. It all sounds artificial and a vibrant color palette that should be used in a Pixar movie.

A dreamy, ponderous film about things that seem small for someone having a huge consequences on the lives of others. The story lacks depth and this is definitely not Wim Wender's best work, but it still showcases his trademark humanism.

"This is just another male menopause movie, marred by unlikely dialogue and hokey theatrical symbolism." - Dan Callahan

It's a nice simple story, and you don't get to see Butte on film that often, but I have a hard time buying the Sam Shepard character, Jessica Lange sets me on edge the same way she always does, and Sarah Polley seems wasted on a beatific role.

Parts are great, parts are decent, and parts are bad. It's watchable.
