Don't Kill It

Some low budget horror flicks play out self aware comedy to compensate for their shortcomings, but "Don't Kill It" is completely aware, yet decides to roll with it seriously anyway. It turns out that Lundgren's B-movie shenanigans like this are exactly where he needs to be, because he's a treat to watch in this one.

Dolph P. Lundgren is a veritable black hole in this self-indulgent laugh-at-him-not-with-him comedy-action time-waster. He hyperbolically sucks all humor, suspense, and thrill from each and every scene he graces (which, unfortunately happens to be almost every scene in the movie) and compresses it into matter so dense it will crush your very soul. The story is essentially the same as Denzel Washington's Fallen, but replaces everything that made Fallen decent with Dolph's Eurovision haircut.

The idea and general execution of the film was good. Some of the acting and editing were mediocre at best. The gore was pretty good for the most part and extra points for not sparing the children.

A clear case of someone wanting to make an action horror film but didn't have a budget. Two options, if you want it enough you work around the budget with tricks and/or bad effects or you just don't have any action so you don't need to spend any money at all

Awful plot with an unseen demon that takes possession of people and animals. If this is the best these writers can do, they should find another profession. The story is total garbage. The humor is lame. With such a stupid premise there were few options for anyone to shine. Not worth watching except for the gore and violence. Did I hear Dolph say "Get this guy some ice cweam"? Mostly it's unsatisfying nonsense.
