The young Gary Cooper looked incredibly handsome! The title Doomsday (1928) might be misleading. No, this is no war film. Unless you consider it a war on society girls. This is basically social propaganda educating ladies that there is no value in marrying for money. Instead there is value in working and earning your daily bread. Doomsday is no essential as far as silent film goes, but it works well considering how little that actually happens during that hour.
