Double Harness

I have a very split opinion about this movie, On one hand I really like the two leads and thought they had great chemistry. I also like the attitude that this movie mainly due to it being a precode film. However I really didn't like any of the secondary characters nor the story that I felt was poor written and poorly directed. I would love to see the two leads together in another film or even the two characters in a better film or remake tho I admit that it would be hard to capture the screen...

This is more a Ann Harding movie then a William Powell, but he does add a great deal of his type of suave to Harding's strong willed woman persona. There is a unique chemistry between the two. There was something fascinating about watching those two together. Harding is such a different type of character then what he usually plays up against. And here Powell played to a chick audience and had some sweet moments using his facial expressions more then usual in the intimate scenes!
