Nothing special about this one...

Pretty heavy stuff for a lighthearted 4 minute film about a couple of children. Would have been even better without the blackboard tally, which comes off as heavyhanded and is completely redundant, but it's still very symbolic of so many aspects of human relations.

This is a nice little short. The boys are a little too cute to drive home the message but while watching I was interested too find out how long it would take for the passive aggression to turn into physical violence, the answer was not very long.

It isn't "Bressonian staging", the children just can't act. But this should probably be judged as an educational video and I guess it looks functional.

"Bressonian staging of one of Laurel and Hardy's epic grudge matches" is a pretty overstated analogy. It seems that the focus is merely on giving a lesson here as the film was made for Kanoon (Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults).
