You really get your money's worth in this one. Though it is a musical, it doesn't feel like one, since it weaves in a story with a romance. Great song and dance routines.

Don Ameche looked exceptionally more handsome in color then in black & white! Apart from the beautiful people in full brightness and the hypnotic South American rhythms, they didn't bother much with the plot. More a exercise of the flamboyant. Popcorn for the masses.
