Worth a watch if you don't take it in any way serious ,the pimp Silky is awesome.

It has it's heart in the right place and some good ideas but the poor execution and shameless 'borrowing' bog this down a bit.

I saw Blackenstein recently and this is definitely a better made and acted blaxploitation horror hybrid, but not that great either. Bernie Casey is quite good in his role, especially as the doctor, while his ”honky” Mr Hyde persona is not too convincing and is channeling Bruce Lee for some reason. It seems to have something to say about e.g. racial identity but it drops that for b-horror formula and ends with a cheap riff on King Kong. Credits include future pros Tak Fukimoto & Stan Winston.

This is a genuine contender for the worst movie I've ever seen. How can something be terribly written, terribly acted, terribly shot, terribly edited, and racist, but still be painfully boring?
