Dracula vs. Frankenstein

Entertaining even if a bit of a mess. Michael Rennie makes for a cruel mad scientist from another world, Karin Dor makes for an eye catching mistress of the undead and Paul Naschy gives an energetic performance as always. Sadly Frankenstein's monster never actually battles Dracula, just the Wolf Man.

Hm...I guess that must've been Plan 10. Another one of those pictures that looks like it was edited with a Cuisinart (although that may just have been the version I saw). Michael Rennie steadfastly keeps doing his Michael Rennie impression, little seeming to realize that he's surrounded by a Timothy Leary comic book. Anyway, some moments of goofy and garish fun throughout...even if the ending does drag on a bit (okay, quite a bit).

So, aliens who can take over human bodies (& see the future) think the best way to take over Earth is to revive 4 monsters who kill 1 at a time when they bother to go out. No rush, I guess. The women are very pretty, some shots look great & Wolfman fights 2 monsters (badly) at the end, but there are relentless plotholes! Why does the alien leader reveal his plans? Why is Drac defeated so easily? How did Wolfie come back to life after Frankenstein killed him? Why kidnap the cop's girlfriend?
