This wasn't actually that bad, in fact, had the ending not been so dumb, I would call this pretty good. Solid fight scenes, some of that Dragon Ball (not Z) humor and lightheartedness, and a formidable foe. Piccolo and Goku teaming up is always pretty tight as well.

rvw. i never expected to still love it this much. when i was a kid this was on steady rotation. i forgot how dope it delt with kami and his guardian predecessor shit. and it actually does the goku+piccolo+kami dynamic, and gohan special power/anger better than the raditz fight. and it's nice to see when goku still actually cared about gohan LOL

I appreciated that this had some of last fragments of humor that this show had before that period mid-DBZ where it became an overserious shouting competition.
