Dragon Princess

Karate does not make a very enjoyable martial art to watch, regardless of how effective or not it is. And unfortunately, almost everyone fights in that style here. Still, there's some cool fights and characters. Etsuko Shihomi is distractingly hot and kicks ass. She also makes a great protagonist, showing vulnerability that many martial arts stars refused to, giving the situation a grounded quality that I never noticed many martial art movies lack.

Mega props for Chiba lookin' badass with the eye-patch at the beginning, and always cool to see a female lead kicking some ass.

Surprisingly entertaining karate flick. Etsuko Shihomi rocks, smashing her way through all the bad guys responsible for killing her dad (Sonny Chiba).
