Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight

I bring to you: Lord of the Rings: The Holiday special!

Basically a fetal alcohol syndrome Lord of the Rings. I love cheesy fantasy, but the barrage of Saturday morning cartoon animation, horrid dialogue, clunky exposition, nonsensical action, and cardboard characters made this one pretty tough to sit through.

Hahaha, the PSI was at 4. That has to be the biggest swing and a miss to date. I totally get why almost no one liked this--I was stunned to learn this was from less than 10 years ago; it legitimately looks 20 years older than it is, and it still would've been sloppy-looking back then--but for me, this was a totally enjoyable nostalgia ride. Campy as hell, crams way too much into 90 minutes, and Kiefer gives even less of an effort as Raistlin than he did as Snake... yet it all adds to the charm.

Loved the novels as a kid, but man this looked like it was done in 1978. Embarrassingly poor production.

horrendous, but who doesn't love that animation - 4/5 so bad it's good score = 8/100

this is a movie, and not a television pilot from 1986? why was the hobgoblin riding a pony? I didn't like the novels, but damn, even Mormon Lord of the Rings knockoffs concocted to hock Player's Handbooks deserve better than this treatment.

Someone could probably make the Dragonlance books into fun hokey fantasy movies. Poor as a they are they deserve a better treatment than this weird mix of cheap animation and even cheaper CGI. The screenplay is terribly adapted from the source material too, so it doesn't even have an entertaining story to make up for the lack of production values.

Wasn't expecting much, but got even less.

I don't ... What? ... Don't watch this movie. Ever. For the love of all things holy, if you like the books: Do not watch this!!
