Italian documentarian Sabina Guzzanti takes a microscopic look at government corruption in Italy with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi her main target. Frustrated with the political parade surrounding the April 2009 earthquake in L'Aquila and the subsequent utilization of the disaster for political gain, Guzzanti's documentary uses satire to keep the audience engaged in a horror story that left thousands stranded while their homes remain part of the rubble.

investigation of the immense corruption following the big italian earthquake in 2009. there was a huge amount information packed into this, and along with the constantly changing images and sounds, it became rather tiring. the politics, while not without a degree of complexity, felt rather easy: blame berlusconi for everything. still, it was interesting, and definitely the best earthquake film i've seen for my course so far. though surely next week's LIFE AND NOTHING MORE will outstrip it.
