It's barely a movie in a traditional way, but it is funny, the music's great and some of the surreal touches are fantastic to see. Those interested in the avant-garde and surealism should seek this out but those that aren't should beware. There's very little dialogue, except through a narrator, and logic doesn't appear to exist here.

An extravaganza by Hans Richter with contributions by some surrealist all-stars. A man gets into the dream business, which serves as a launching point for seven bizarre dream sequences. The surrealism isn't limited to the dreams, however, it bleeds over quite liberally into the narrative. Some of the narration is a little too beatnik, and Calder's section isn't that interesting (how long can you look at mobiles?) but otherwise it's a wild ride punctuated by some really clever and funny moments.
