Not as good as the best episodes of the show, but still entertaining. In hindsight, it's clear that Disney self-plagiarized several plot points from this movie for Aladdin two years later

As a kid, I wore the out the tape on this one. It does what any good TV show-cum-movie should: reminds you what made the show great, while using it as a launch-pad for something much bigger, something...epic. This is no 90 minute episode, oh no, this has scope: the scene where the McDuck mansion transforms into a giant stone fortress is proof of that. It's not great, but it is cute, it is funny, and it's very, very watchable. At the end of the day, isn't that what a DuckTales movie should be?

Saw it in the theatre. I enjoyed the half-hour tv show. I beat the nintendo game. I am a DuckTales junky. Its tough to pull out a full length movie for Scrooge and the QuackPack. It didn't fully flip the "bill".

Let me establish something important first: this is NOT a good movie. It's like Disney was practicing for Aladdin (while Stephen Sommers was taking notes for his Mummy adaptation - between the Arabic side character and the revival-of-ancient-power struggle, think about it). However, it is worth watching for the genius that was Disney's TV character output at the turn of the '90's. I want Scrooge McDuck back in my life.

Ducktales. it's ducks, pretending to be people. One of my favorite cartoons as a kid.

I think the material was better suited to a 22 minute show.

DuckTales, one of the best cartoon series ever with one of the catchiest themesongs. The movie isn't exceptional, but it's DuckTales; enjoy it.

I probably would have to have grown up with this movie to appreciate it. As it is, it's just not very good. Boring.

Watched it in the cinema in 1990, liked it then, so prolly decent film for children.

The story is like a low rent version of Aladdin and the film also loses the charm of the TV series. It's still fun but it doesn't hold up that well except with nostalgia.

The new characters introduced for this feature were annoying with a capital A, but it's still DuckTales. If you were a fan, you'll still be a fan.

Totally a rip-off of Disney's Aladdin... except this came out first. So Aladdin ripped off Ducktales...?

Another amusing Disney movie. Unsubstantiated plot, decent humor, and great animation pretty much sum this one up.

Look, any movie which features the voice work of Rip Taylor and the comic stylings of Duck Tales, the best 1980s Disney comedy series is a sure fire winner.

I had better memories of this movie, the animation was lazy and the plot dated, it has some funny moments but it hasn't aged well. It's like a longer episode, that's all.

I must have seen this a million times. It's entertaining and actually quite funny at times, but, of course, it isn't a fantastic movie. I never knew that was Christopher Lloyd who played the bad guy.

Pretty forgettable, but harmless. There are worse ways to spend an afternoon. Christopher Lloyd hamming it up was a highlight.
