I'm a sucker for financial story films, and this is more than decent.

Amusing and entertaining. The execution is seen before and it kind of feels like yesterday's news.

Comic and hyped up rendition of real life events that is both interesting and entertaining. It’s very much set in a moment of time and as such may not have longevity.

As someone who bought GME at the time and was involved the events depicted in the film, I was quite disappointed. it didn't capture it all that well for me. Roaring kitty was portrayed a bit too loserish, it lacked detail on some of the mechanics and ended up being a pretty formulaic David vs goliath tale. Lacking much style or punch. The ending tried to make out the consequences of the whole thing on the future of investing were really profound and I'm not sure they were.

Really great film backed by excellent performances and comedy that really hits. Most Wall Street-centric movies have a difficult time explaining the inner workings of the market to the layman, but this flick avoids the problem entirely by keeping the plot tight and relatively small scale, something that felt a bit lacking in films like Wolf of Wall Street or The Big Short.
