Dumb and Dumber To made our boys pretty mean to be around, here they're written borderline retarded. There is no way this Harry would know the world annual. I saw this when it came out and I repressed every moment apparently it was like being abused again for the first time. The Bob Saget speech captures the spirit of the movie. Oh, my God. He shit everywhere. There's shit everywhere!

Contrary to popular belief, it is superior to the official sequel, which found Carrey and Daniels dragging arse in complete desperation. Olsen and Richardson attack their roles with real gusto--Olsen is a dead ringer for Carrey--and they are well supported by a talented group of supporting actors both young and old. The material isn't great, but there are a few big laughs and moments of eccentric humour not typically found in mainstream US comedies of the time, and Saget is funny.

Nowhere near the humor of the orginal, which may have been one of the funniest movies of our generation, however the two actors involved do imitate exceedingly well in a film that truly isn't too bad considering how disastrous it could have turned out.

I would have given this movie a 0 but I really thought Eric Christian Olsen's 'Lloyd Christmas' was pretty good so the 5 points go for his take on the character Carrey built. Everything else about this movie is utter shit. It wouldn't be as upsetting if it didn't ride the coattails of one of the most hilarious movies of all time.

Traditionally sequels tend to rehash the same premise, but do it bigger and dumber. After the "Star War's" prequels, that word became even more likely to carry the ill's of a sequel, but with the potential to retro-actively ruin the original. Is this movie dumb? Yes. Is it bad? Yes. Are the new duo asked to fill Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels' gigantic shoes? It's really not that bad as long as you go into it with an open mind knowing the original Harry and Lloyd aren't in it. Some good laughs and pretty good performance from the cast. Lighten up people it's just a silly comedy, which is what it intended to be.

Compared to the original, this is just as bad as the average Criticker thinks it is. While that may be a fair comparison, viewed on its own this movie stands as a decent entry in the really stupid comedy genre. And Olsen does an impeccable Jim Carrey.

This reeks of racism and ableism, with a hint of homophobia. But as a sequel to the original film it works quite well. I can't say I didn't laugh at some of the antics. I have to say that Olsen and Richardson do a very impressive impersonation of Carrey and Daniels as Lloyd and Harry. It'a also pleasing to see Shia LaBeouf given a black eye (even if it is just a combination of makeup and acting).

Silly prequel is fairly brash and obvious, but has a few good chuckles here and there, largely thanks to Olsen and Richardson who are pretty reasonable substitutes for Carrey and Daniels, consequently managing a reasonable facsimile of the chemistry (and timing) that made the original a modest success (based on my now at least 20 year old memories!) The supporting cast are largely exaggerated foils to the central duo, but Rogers has a few good moments, while Levy mugs away as only Levy can!

Dumb & Dumberer is possibly the most retarded film I've ever seen. Not only is this prequel completely pointless, but every single element is shockingly bad. From the direction and writing to the performances and humour, it's unrecognisable of the original. In fact it makes the original look like a masterpiece. I love the Dumb & Dumber, Carrey & Daniels are both great. And this mess is an absolute insult to the Farrelly Brothers and everyone else associated with the original.

Watch in confusion and wonder as Derek Richardson and Eric Olsen attempt to copy Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey, somehow removing all humour and ripping half their lines straight from the original in the process. One of the most diabolical examples of laziness that Hollywood has ever produced.

I did not laugh even once watching this movie. Not once. The only reason I gave this anything was the fact it looked like Erik Christian Olsen and Derek Richardson tried to do a good job. I also liked the music from the soundtrack for the most part. This was a very soulless movie which made this hard to watch. Just watch the first one over and over again if you even come close to getting the urge to watch this.

I guess Harry and Lloyd just learnt to be funnier with time, so this prequel has 0 fun, the original has 6 fun and the future one, "Harry and Lloyd in the asylum" will be a masterpiece. They are not dumb, they just need more time to learn than the rest of the world.
