Totally forgettable junk comedy made during that brief window when America was in love with Married with Children. Ed O'Neill is really not a very good actor and the stepson character was beyond obnoxious.

The son is a sociopath, and so is the dad. Both of them.

A couple laughs and O'Neill is decent but man, this kid is unbearable (the character) you just want Dutch to just kick his ass out of the moving car.

really not a bad movie, though at the time it came out, ed o'neill was big as al bundy, so those expecting that type of comedy were sorely disappointed. yes, it was me. but watching it again later, i realized that even though it wasnt ed as al bundy, dutch wasnt all that bad.

I rewatched this thinking it was a Christmas movie, it's not, but it's still fun.

It's weird Ed O' Neill didn't do anymore movies after this one as the comedic lead. This wasn't that bad.

Fair John Hughes-penned comedy. There were some laughs, but I felt after an hour that the movie should almost be finished, so it was overly long for me (that's what she said).

In the 90s kids were brats until they experienced tough love. This explains why we are all so very normal now.

Ed O’Neill gives a spoiled brat the good old what for. Pretty enjoyable road trip style movie. I’m not really into fireworks but even I thought that fireworks store looked pretty cool.

Seeing this when you're not even a teenager yet helps add to the entertainment factor. Al Bundy does a great job in this movie. Some good laughs.

Hey John Hughes, we dont want to watch some 10 year old kid spout off about class systems. The kid was a pathetic worm creature thing that just made you feel hate.
