Dynamite

Dynamite (1949) was William Gargan's last starring role in a feature film. He would do a brief comeback in 1956 doing a couple of supporting roles, but the guy who had been a reliable top guy in B-pictures since the dawn of sound was now done with Hollywood and would continued his craft in detective roles on TV through the 1950s. Can't say Dynamite was the blast it promised to be, but it had its danger, just not that standard of Gargan roles had been the past two decades.
