Well done for a film created that close to the end of the Second World War.

Yes its old (50+) years but it does have the advantage of being made by people who lived through WW2. Big budget (for its time and country) shows here with good model-work for the action scenes of Pearl and Midway. Some historical inaccuracies but shows pretty much history as it was known at the time. Pretty balanced as well. NOT colour - B&W fine by me, just a headsup as poster may delude. SIDENOTE - Next movie for director and others in the staff here was the 1st in the iconic Godzilla series.
