One of the cool things about East Side, West Side (1927) was the New York City scenery. Really gave it a more vibrant feel compared to the studio based melodramas of the time. For the story was the usual boxer getting his short spell in high society. Ordinary stuff, which George O'Brien naturally makes the most of. The best thing about this.... the lovely fights!
