Eat the Rich

Despite the anarchic humor and cameos, this is no fun at all

I've been waiting since high school to watch this movie and I really have to say that this movie is horrible. The only thing I liked about it was the soundtrack otherwise this was a complete waste of time.

Top badass moment? Alex in the dole office; one of my favourite all-time movie scenes. I'm fortunate that I've not had to claim benefits for quite a while, but in the 80s/90s I had to deal with many incompetent jobsworths, idiots and assholes at the DHSS; (no wonder it was rebranded as Jobcentre Plus). Alex is a true hero for the downtrodden masses and taking on the establishment is 100% pure badass. No cats, decapitations or chainsaws. A lot of people do get turned into mincemeat though.

While it is eerily relevant to today's political climate, there's not really a lot to recommend this film. Goes for cheap laughs more often than not, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't chuckle once or twice.

Hit-and-miss satire has some delectable moments.
