Through a random series of events, this disgusting and vile piece-a-work was the only movie I finished during the holiday period. I guess this officially makes Ebola Syndrome the best christmas movie I've seen this year. (Filmmakers: please don't rerelease this movie and use that quote on the cover). There will never be a situation in real life where I meet someone and we discover we both watched this, since nothing that happens in this film should be brought up in polite conversation.

I knew what I was getting myself into, but what an angry little film this is. Yau's cruelty is as relentless as Ebola. Innocents will die but there's no time to mourn because the next infection has already begun. It may have been insensitive to have watched Ebola Syndrome in the midst of the worst Ebola outbreak in history, but it appropriately represents the force and horror of the disease. Not respectfully mind you, but accurate nonetheless.

Completely amoral and abhorrent in every way, which deserves some credit, although I'm not sure what I'm supposed to glean from this (other than the fact that Ebola is one hell of a disease)... The finale [spoilers], in which a crazed, knife-wielding Wong mindlessly runs through the streets of Hong Kong shouting "Ebola," is unlikely to be forgotten.

I have waited a long time to see this because it seems like these movies that everyone talks about never live up the hype. This one did. It is unique and balls-out crazy.

Watched because of the curiosity I had after discovering a movement of exploitation films out of Hong Kong in the 80's and 90's. This one is a strange product of a psychopathic desire for entertainment. It's a gathering of all the elements that people want to see but would never say they want to see in a film and because of it's sometimes intended comedy, it's awful hard to find the line where good comedy ends and bad acting and writing begins. It's both trash and treasure at the same time.

Basically the same movie as THE UNTOLD STORY but with Ebola. The first half is unlike everything I've ever seen before. Wong delivers such a disgusting performance, I don't even know if it can be categorized with good or bad. The second half has its flaws because the cops who chase Wong are downright stupid, but the finale makes up for it again.

Top badass moment? A group of four doctors are showing some photos and describing the effects of the virus to a group of three police officers. This makes one of the latter feel sick and run to a litter bin in the room to throw up. None of the doctors show the slightest concern for her whilst she's busy puking her guts up. Don't get sick in Hong Kong! I think this film was paid for by the Vegan Society too. 1 decapitation (but offscreen, plus some chickens and frogs), no cats or chainsaws.

The sleaziest character in film history.

Probably one of the sleeziest films I have ever seen. Is Wong's performance good or bad? Is it good because it is him how he thinks he looks during sex, or is it bad because it's how he thinks everybody looks while having sex? Wong is what makes this film truly fascinating. The rest is in itself the typical fun trash stupidity you get in every B-Movie. Watch it!

A pretty decent black comedy horror thriller pairing Anthony Wong and Herman Yau together again as in "The Untold Story" in some ways these two movie are similar but Ebola Syndrome is not as intense or as tightly directed also the character Kai seems to be bipolar at time a slimy bastard and at others a put upon nobody that wishes for a wife.

Completely over the top sleaze and splatter as Anthony Wong causes mayhem and Ebola epidemics on two continents.

Funniest black-comedy I've seen in a while. The protagonist is a thouroughly disgusting human being but I can't help hoping he spreads the good news of our Lady and Saviour Ebola-chan to the world.
