Possibly the best of his live shows. The Englebert Humperdink segment is a classic.

Intellectual and absurd humor that I love. One of the most unique stand up comics out there.

Izzard's stream of conscious style of comedy isn't for everyone, but it IS for me. This is what introduced me to his stand-up, brilliant!

Brilliantly funny observational humor with a bent perspective and rapier wit. Highly quotable, highly watchable. If we catch it on, we always finish it.

Izzard's stream of consciousness ramblings are so funny, it doesn't even really register for me any more that he's a bloke in a dress.

Not the teeniest, weeniest bit funny. Almost as bad as Andrew Dice Clay

Funny stuff. I get bored pretty easily with stand-up, but the way his train of thought flits about keeps things interesting. The French stuff was damn cool too.

Some of the better stand up I have seen. The genius is in the apparent tangents he takes.

Imagine you're a Brit comedian, and the crowd fake-hisses at you. Your retort: a) "Typical Americans, always hissing into the wind." b) "Music to my ears! You see, in England, hissing is practiced only by the privileged few with teeth." c) "And you're a city of snakes, I see! Hsss! Everyone goes to a gig with a snake in their bag. Hsss!" Guess which "hilarious" bit Eddie goes with. The other two took me about forty seconds to think up. An unfunny Brit with a dress, nothing more.

Dadaist stand-up comedy. So, if that sounds like it would appeal to you, go for it. Personally, I found it only intermittently funny. I found myself wishing his flow of consciousness were even MORE uncorseted (all pun intended). His fantasy of how the astronauts could have screwed with folks back on earth was totally hilarious, though, gotta say.

This is hands down stand-up brilliance. I doubt Izzard will ever be able to top this but that's OK. This has incredible social commentary and Izzard manages to take history and make it unbelievably hilarious while being based in fact (of course the fact is make absurdly funny). This is superb comedy and a must watch.

I'm not really a huge fan of Izzard's stand-up, but I do like and admire him as a person greatly. This remains for me his best work, and I can see why it is considered a classic. It's got laughs, and style, but doesn't bowl me over.

One of my favorite stand-up shows I've seen so far. Smart, funny material and great delivery. He's very charismatic, I didn't think transvestite thing could work, but it does.

The faux-documentary skit about San Fransisco that opens the special is amazing. Shame Izzard never landed a job in sketch comedy.
