Better then the first one, and probably on par with the series. At least we get some answers this time. I found myself kind of bored for the first half, but the second half made up for it when they started wrapping of the mystery. The most interesting scenes in my opinion were the ones with Mr. Outside. He's not really what I expected, I thought he was dead to be honest. The ending was satisfying enough, no really big twists or anything. They did leave it open slightly for a possible sequel.

An improvement over the last movie, I'm still left feeling like the ending would have been better off as a second season in the series... The huge gaps between movies certainly do not help my ability to remember anything from a good anime I watched 4 years ago now.

At least we got some answers in this one. The animation was wonderful as always, but Production I.G. rarely disappoints. Better than its predecessor, but still no where near as good as the series.
