The Rob Schneider Project - day 13. "What if we only had to *listen* to Rob?" our intern remarked. We gasped. Maybe that was the breakthrough we needed! However, animated asshole Sandler tested the limits of our endurance and Rob's voiceover was one of the least insulting parts of this ordeal. Couldn't sleep that night. Weird ringing sound in ears, like Schneider shouting "eeeee" nonstop. Worst of all, the sound never went away, just faded into the background.. Schneider-annoyance factor: 2

Every so often we're treated with a movie that, while it doesn't do so well in the box office or on initial release, it becomes ingrained in our souls as a masterpiece and beloved memory of the holiday season. This is not one of those movies.

Though it is fun to see an animated, and therefore very versatile, version of Adam Sandler, the story for Eight Crazy Nights is crude and the humor matches it. Occasionally, after very angry moments, something very sweet happens, but it jumps back and forth so fast that it becomes quite messy. Crap!

I don't hate Sandler as much as other people, but jesus christ is he ever at his worst in this movie. This movie is a mess from the writing standpoint and is painfully unfunny, unless you have a love for poop jokes and Someone being an angry asshole. It makes it even worse knowing that the movie could have had a potentially better script had Sandler not completely fuck it up because... well... he's Sandler.

Schneider quest: film 13. I finally have uncovered the secret why Schneider collaborates so often with Sandler. It's to brainwash us into liking Schneider. Compared to the vile, unfunny, childish, shitty Sandler, Schneider is a breath of fresh air. In this movie, Schneider, as the narrator and Chinese guy, is the best voice by far. This movie scores high as one of the worst animation movies I've seen.

Would have been much funnier had it just been live action. In all honesty it delivered some laughs but it was kind of an awkward watch, because you feel as though you should be 4 and 22 at the same time.

I own this one, though I don't know why. Something tells me it was a birthday present. There exists a lot of crude humor, herein- but then what did you expect from Adam Sandler? Funny, if marginally so, but what gets me is that it's animated. This type of humor is not exactly what you'd expect from an animated feature- so I suppose it's innovative in that regard. Storywise, it was a little...hokey, but not unbearable. I absolutely hated the voices they chose for Whitey and his sister (

While I would love to give more points to a movie with a song about a "morning erection", and the same animation house that provided us with the severely underrated Iron Giant, I just can't. This sucks. But, it IS interesting how stars are starting to play themselves in animation, isn't it? Probably deserves a rewatch.

29/12/2009 lame juvenile jokes, annoying voices (Sandler, Sandler, Sandler and some others). They even modelled the (animation) face of the main character after Sandler....WTF? Avoid this one, unless you need to rate more bad movies to balance your criticker.com tiers/ratings

For a holiday movie, Eight Crazy Nights wasn't bad. The story was cute. There were some pretty good jokes that pushed the bounds of holiday humor. It was a holiday movie aimed at making the holidays more inclusive. Best part of all this movie was barely over an hour long. I don't think this movie is gonna become a holiday classic but I enjoyed parts of it. There are moments where I feel I've had enough Adam Sandler, because he plays the main two rules. It's fun, if only once.

Adam Sandler & friends create one of the best Hanukkah movies. That is of course by default from sheer lack of Hanukkah movies. With decent animation and surprisingly catchy songs, the film about a selfish man-child is ironically dragged down by the patented juvenile Sandler voices and humor. Sadly, these staples of Sandler's low-brow comedy clash with the movie's attempts at being a holiday heart warmer for the most part. Possibly a guilty pleasure for Sandler fans, but most likely no one else.

I'm never going to get "Technical Foul" out of my head... It's so silly, so juvenile and so mean spirited, but at a certain point it becomes so aggressively silly, and the gags start coming with a sledgehammer's grace, that it wore down my defenses and the laughter wouldn't stop. Hard to grade this as an achievement, but it well and truly makes it a pass; surprisingly clever and catchy riffs on show tunes are a highlight. Still proceed with caution!

Lots of poop jokes in this one here. And some basketball and Adam Sandler doing an annoying voice. Songs aren’t the worst. Still I can see why this one hasn’t really become a holiday movie mainstay.
