Coincidentally there was two film made of Sheridan Le Fanu's novel Uncle Silas in 1947. One in old England, and this one all the way over in Argentina! And while it doesn't generate the big scenes from this chilling story, there is a allure to this and more attention to detail than I expected from a Argentinian production from that time.
