I shouldn't watch this kind of film. I just couldn't stand the director's self-indulgent whiny soliloquising about her problems, under the guise of a romantic biography of her sister. Sadly it reminded me of Jonathan Caouette's atrocious iMovie trainwreck, Tarnation. A film where a lack of substance about acting, sisterhood or New York is filled by meaningless and repetitive images of a woman spinning under a camera. Ethereal is too nice a word to use. So I'll go for "nightmarish".
