Not sure if I was watching bad horror or bad comedy. Oh wait, it's both. It's a hormedy. Elvira is characteristically charming and corny and the comedy peaks with the title so don't go in expecting a laugh out loud thrill ride; it's more of a sighing experience. Scott Atkinson does do a spectacular job with his Vincent Price impersonation and the "dubbed" stableboy gag was funny for about five seconds.

A titilating take on the House of Usher, owing much to the Corman/Price era. This was very well done with excellent performances from both Cassandera Peterson and Richard O'Brien. Overall this was able to maintain the spirit of the genre while taking some well deserved pot shots at it.
