For a film about a bunch of children chasing around a thief it's surprisingly entertaining and occasionally sharply written. It's still kind of simplistic and the child acting is merely passable, but it's fun and well made.

Billy Wilder shows his early talent as a crowd-pleasing writer with this timeless family film about precocious kids taking on a nefarious thief.
