One of the more boring heist movies I've seen. The worst part of the film was Hemsworth's friend who either is annoying in real life or his character was set up so well that he could annoy the audience to no end. Emma Roberts and Dwayne Johnson had pretty small roles in this. It almost wasn't even worth mentioning that Roberts was in this film. I'm finding it hard to come up with more commentary about the movie but I've got nothing. I'd only watch this if there isn't anything else to see.

The overall movie was ok but I watched this cause I thought the Rock was going to be in it more and great to see the Greeks were reped in this movie.

Passable crime/heist story with some decent acting. Most of the characters aren't well developed, but the heist plot, while rather bland, is actually believable.

Empire State is a waste of time from you and money from those who financed it -- one of whom was the real-life protagonist. The talent involved didn't seem to care, all of the characters were dull and lifeless (or annoying and stupid), it's not thrilling or dramatic in the least, and I honestly wish I could give you a reason to watch it, but I can't. Not even if you're genuinely interested in the real story behind the film.

This is an entertaining film based on true events. The cast does a good job with their roles. One character is very annoying in the film. Overall I would recommend this film.

The film is supposed to be set in the 70s but it's the laziest set dressing I've ever seen - for example there is an ordinary diner but they make it 70s by putting up an old Coke sign. One of the main characters is supposed to have a 70s hair style, but the problem is that those sort of hair styles came back into fashion, so it actually looks like any other current teenage hair style.

Basically a good but nothing really memorable flick. Something feels off as your going though it all, I think it's just Helmsworth is not a good fit for the role (way too much of a pretty boy). Not a bad time waster.

Very well acted, great characters and dialog. Surprisingly good staging, dressing, locations, which makes it feel real and believable. The logic and motivation of the characters will make you scratch your head more than once. Dwayne Johnson did great, but he's so out of place in gritty 80's NYC.

Utterly tedious. Most of the minor cast mumbles through their lines. Johnson acts as if he's in a blockbuster, completely missing the tone of the movie he's in. Hemsworth looks out of place; and after seeing Chris Potamitis (who incidently produced this film) at the end of the movie, it's obvious why. Angarano was the only one who turned in a half-decent performance.

the only reason that I sat down in front of TV to watch this was to see Emma Roberts. That was just a few minutes I guess.
