Emu Runner

Meandering drama is a frustrating experience in many ways, largely because while performances aren't bad, they are clearly amateurish and improvised, which is a deadly combination in a film that doesn't want to commit to a narrative. Might have worked better in a shorter format - while much of this might be true to life, the lack of drama and momentum makes the film a bit of a deadly chore. Compensated by some nice scenery, and a good feel for its indigenous communities.
